    I'm not complaining ............. well ok I'am

    made an order on thursday expecting it to be dispatched tonight for delivery on monday instead I've just received an it's delayed email ,

    and what's annoying is that you delayed a £300 order for a £1 tube of thermal paste
    which was an after thought and not really needed but I could not get the order amended in time for it to ship tonight because you don't send the god dammed Delayed Order Notification emails till after the thing should have shipped

    so when will you have a proper stock system that is accurate and of actually use to us?

    I had this on another etailer messed me about because of some speakers,why they could not email me and offer an alternative product was beyond me,in the end it cost them saturday delivery,plus the delivery of my speakers.

    Saturday delivery 18 pounds i paid 12 for friday delivery, my speakers shipped on monday as a add on order 12 pounds,the speakers only cost 23 pounds lol.

    Email costs nothing.customer service it seems costs alot?

    You think that's bad, I made an order tuesday which has still not been shipped despite it being in stock the entire time. So its going to probably arrive one week after the order which is unacceptable really.

    I use scan a lot, but of late they are getting totally unreliable. I will have to go elsewhere in future sadly. I don't mind the odd delay, but I can't remember the last order I got next day.

    ^^ fair enough although it was in stock when ordered , your quick enough to take my money why can't you also allocate the goods to me there and then?

    but when did i receive it 8:30pm!

    what ******* good is that? sorry if that sounds harsh but it's true and it's taking the wee wee

    really annoying as it was to repair someones laptop and now i have to tell the bloke it aint gonna be done for a good few days yet which means me and him

    note, this is directed entirely at who ever is responsible for the stock system(which is pants)/delayed email notifications not you helpful forums guys... well unless you are that person(s)

    There are loads of these emails every day now.

    I have been wanting to order for over a week now but i cant bring myself to part with the cash in the 'hope' that the items, though in stock, might drop out of stock and not arrive for weeks.

    I ordered something yesterday with a estimated delivery for Monday now i know this isnt going to happen as the earliest i`ll get it is now Tuesday.

    I know its free delivery but if you pay the extra for delivery are you guaranteed it next day as im getting fed up with having to wait for my orders and never knowing when they eventually turn up.

    hoorah another order and another annoyance

    ordered Tuesday for delivery today , last night got an "notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumesin our warehouse" [sic] now i can live with that but at that point in time everything was showing as in stock.
    come today i checked the site to see if the bits i ordered were in still in stock or not and saw that several items said out of stock and knew that my order was going to be buggered and so contacted you rather than wait for you to let me know at 9pm tonight as you usually do and sure enough they were out and not picked waiting for me.

    now annoyingly in the reply i got it had "We can confirm that all items on your order have been picked and reserved for you, with the exception of the following item, which is currently out of stock:" indicating that my order had already been picked which begs the question why had i not received an out of stock notification already? if i had not contacted you would I have found out as I normally do at 9pm odd?

    now RE the unexpected volumes message , now I don't know what's going on with scan at the moment or indeed what has been happening for the last year when this all started as did the so called improvements but getting the unexpected volumes message and seeing this HotUKDeals - SCAN - Free Postage offer is Back seems well a bit counter productive , infact to me that basically says you don't really care about improving things your end and that you are just trying to bring in new orders which will surely only make more delays for us and create more stock issues with your already abysmal system.?

    Hey, that seems rather ... off... We have a bunch of intricate rules to follow to ensure we keep free delivery status here, whilst all they have to do is make 30 posts, sign up once and have it for life.

    no need as the order has been sorted and dispatched, at least that's one thing i can't complain about is that it is easy and quick to get orders amended , it's just the fact that it should never have really needed amending in the first place that annoys me

    for what it's worth i also made an order with ebuyer with their 5 day super saver delivery straight after i made the order with you guys on tuesday and they have dispatched my order today aswell after only 2 days not for the first time i might add which only further begs the question why is seemingly nothing improving in the delivery / stock area at scan from a customers perspective

    It does seem to be a matter of luck according to the items ordered.

    However, on Monday I ordered several items with a request for despatch on Tuesday.
    Citylink showed collection at 1645 on Tuesday and the items arrived, in good condition and working, at 0845 on Wednesday (yesterday) - only 16 hours!

    At least Scan does something about it.

    Sounds like a familiar scenario. When I ordered, everything was in stock. When it came to dispatch, I got an email telling me that an item was out of stock! I ended up cancelling the order and buying from my local shop (CCL), as I can just drive there and they quote actual stock figures, rather than just in or out..
