If you watch really closely, you can see into the future. Has to be so close that you get it in your eye, though

but it IS boring.. welcome d00d.

bring back 'ol Murray walker. I used to watch it to hear his dumb ass comments. In a perfect world ? Him hosting and commentating, with analysis from prince phillip

    would be teh s***.

We know shuey is gonna win it at the moment. and deep down.. despite denials, because of this... all we do is pray for an "incident" like a crash. I am sorry. not really my sport.

lets get a sheeps stomach full of air and go play curby !

Stop slating F1! I watched a race the other day and there was an over take! One car was in front, and anopther behind, and then the one that was behind went in front! It was an amazing race, best F1 action I've seen this season.

    Now Superbikes, theres racing...

Yeah but there is poor coverage of it.

Anyone wanting to watch good racing should have watched the world superbike from Brands last weekend. Leaves F1 in the weeds. More overtakes between Haga and Laconi in the last lap alone in race one than in a whole season of F1. Not to mention the 'axe murderers' race in between, namely the supersport 600. Rossi, Gibernau and Biaggi scrapping for every inch of tarmac for most of the races this season in Moto GP. While we're talking of Moto GP. Why can't Schuey do what Rossi did? namely turn around to the top running marque and tell them 'thanks but I have nothing left to prove here, I'm off to develope a lesser machine'. Now Schumacher driving say a Jordan or a Jaguar and getting it up there with the top runners would be worth watching.

F1 used to be exciting and worth staying up for the rounds on the far side of the world late at night. Now it's all over after the first corner. The sport needs to revamp itself and come out with a formula that more racing fans want to watch. Until it does I for one won't bother watching it.

The revamp.. should be everyone making the cars to the same initial specs. then it is down to the driver.

I mean having a car that is tweaked is o.k. but something which is blatantly better is like having one sprinter that is 12 foot tall and pumped up on drugs.

In horse racing they would make you wear weights to be as fair as possible with regards to the "drivers" weights. If you get a faster horse.. then good for you.

But in a man made sport like F1? we could limit everything down to driver skill alone.

Rallying and other motorsports are more competitive because of the limits of the vehicles and the course terrain.

F1 is flat.. has a few corners. and 1 or 2 guys with uber rigs.

    Hehe

No seriously - I used to be a fan of F1 in the good old days when drivers changed gear, they used to earn their salaries then.
The workload on the driver was immense, mistakes happened more often, postions changed more often because even the best guys would miss a gear or get it slightly wrong, they had to use all of their skill and judgement to keep that car on the track - but you could be damn sure that what was happening in the car cockpits was 100% sheer concentration and workload, drivers had to be literally dragged out of their cars in sheer exhaustion.
The personalities were fabulous - Keke Rosburg was the man - chainsmoking long-haired Finn that used to stub his fag out, climb into his car and set blistering lap times, Nelson Piquet, Ayrton Senna, short tempered geniuses that wouldn't hesitate to climb out of their car and take a swing at you for cutting them up,

Mansell, yeah boring my arse - gutsiest overtaker I ever saw his move driving the Ferrari at hungary is still legendary, and all the time Murray Walker would be screaming with excitement, I'll never forget the sight of Mansell and Senna side by side down the Brabham straight at adelaide, 1 inch apart at 190 mph - 1 inch, then Mansells tyre blew, and you saw how good those guys where as he held that car in a straight line - awesome.

Formula 1 these days is like, well as Saracen says, paint drying, boring drivers, boring cars, boring circuits, the money men stepped in and killed the circus.

    Yawn.
