    22" Cibox TFT v.poor colour

Has anyone purchased the 22" WS Cibox monitor from Scan, couldnt find any reviews but it was cheap Compared to my 18.1" iiyama TFT this monitors colour reproduction is simply awefull, everything looks washed out. I have spent the best part of two days trying various colour levels and contract/brightness but this monitor is indeed the pits

Anyone know of any calibration software that might help or have I just lucked out on this purchase. Like I say it isnt down to it being a TFT as my much older iiyama TFT has almost perfect colour

    "but it was cheap"

    and the iiyama wasn't
and the iiyama is very good (even still)
    surprised?

The LG 22" tv/lcd is a very good tv btw clear, bright, a little over contrasted tho.

very true, the iiyama cost me over £400 at the time and has been a trusty servant, still is. Just wanted higher res, silly me

I have a Hanns-G 19", although a bit ugly & bulky is very good display.

LG & Samsung seem to have a decent rep for the price. The LG combo tv/monitor looks good to me (havent tried it on a PC tho only used it as a TV). The monitor only version is cheaper.

I have the same TFT rabbid. You really think its ugly? I thought it looked clean and simple. Very small edge round the screen so they would be great for dual screen setups. In my opinion its a very nice screen for the money (119.00 when i bought it)

Re: 22" Cibox TFT v.poor colour

I've got a Cibox 22" and the picture quality is fine, colours are nice and bright and clear. I can't see any problem with it and couldn't be happier, maybe luck of the draw?

I can honestly say I can't find a single fault with it, no matter what the price was. I suppose looking carefully at it the only problem I have is the boxey design and the lack of tilt/swivel. However I can't say I have needed it so I'm not complaining.

Re: 22" Cibox TFT v.poor colour

I bought one as well and it had a serious yellow cast which I couldn't get rid of.
Did an RMA through the agent and got another which still had a cast but was correctable using the various setting modifications. Unfortunately it also has a single stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen - not covered by warranty of course.
Certainly colour reproduction is nothing like as good as my Iiyama so I would definitely not recommend it if you need good accurate colours.
