Did scan update my bios?

I requested for my Bios to be updated to support the proccessor and scan said it would cost £10+ vat for them to do this and I agreed to it. But where does it say the bios was updated for £10 on my order?

It was shipped after 5pm yesterday and is on its way now, but the CPU wont work without the 1.6 bios on this motherboard!

There is the fouth item on the list that says Auto generated, no serial £0.00, what is that? I would like to believe this could be the update for the bios, but there is no £10 charge for it.

Help me please, I havent had any replies from Scan since I requested for the bios to be updated for £10, and have just sent another email now.

And I thought the CPU was out of stock O.o

I also requested to have a corsair dominator fan added to the order, but it isnt there.

The "1 Auto. generated by E Orders NO SERIAL 0.00 0.00" is usually to do with something on Today Only based on past experience, but I can't really help on the other fronts - I'm sure one of the Scan guys can pick that up for you.

I guess they got my request after it shipped most likely, I cant remember what time it was when I sent the confirmation email with go ahead for the bios update.

It says here for my motherboard that the E8400 is supported after bios 1.6. If it doesnt have this bios I wont even be able to boot right?

Or will it just cripple the CPU but allow me to start up and update the bios?

I got 2 replies replies, they said it hasnt been updated as it shipped too soon, but one person said I could take it to my nearest PC shop to get the bios updated (boo!), the other said I can return it to have it done if it wont work.

I'll install it with the stock cooler first for testing, hopefully it will run, but be crippled in speed untill I update the bios.

You should be ok I have read on the MSI forums it will boot with earlier bios. I have this board and it came with bios 1.2 and according to the forums this should be ok.
