If you wait till tomorrow and look at Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK I think you find a lot of discount on a full system as we have a larger selection of discount at the weekend.
Regards

I will take a look tomorrow, but being a regular I am not sure what I am looking for will be in today only. Im assuming this is the only way I will get a discount by going through you guys?
Today only prices are generally under trade price at the weekend we have motherboards cpu's memory etc on a whole system it can prove to be a good discount. You have to remember the margin on hardware is very low and with the effort we put in towards good service has to be paid for.

a suggestion would be too email themanwhocan@scan.co.uk and request what things youd like too see.
Btw what hardware are you looking for? as the abit p35 dark raider pops up alot and is normally £10 off.
Thats still abit expensive. Unfortunatly its on a farely small budget. Im looking for good mobos for under the £50 mark like the Gigabyte GA-P31. But I guess I could always save on other components and pay more for the mobo, but depends what components are on today only!
Im looking to buy everything from the internal components to the external peripherals. Unfortunately I cant spend anymore that £500, so im just trying to get best value for money.

Well its going to be for my brother-in-law as he is going to Uni this year.
At the moment the budget is no more than £500 as he is just a poor student! I may be able to get him to increase it if needs be but I will see if it is feasible to get the lot for £500 for now and will add too it if I can get the budget increase.
The cheapest moniter I can find is about £100 and I can seem to get anything cheaper than that so that leaves £400 for the rest.
ah you need the monitor too?
What size?
No specific size, Price is more importent but has to be reliable. I have found a nice HansG 19" widescreen for £99 on scan so I will probably go for that unless there is anything cheaper.
my gran has the hans G 19", dont think there are more then 1 model really, got it @ pcworld business account for £90, will go have a look at some decent screens , recommend LG samsung just off the top of my head/experience with them.
Edit: i know you wanted it too be a budget end but if you could stretch too say £125 then this monitor looks much better Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK LG>Hans spree and it has higher contrast etc.

Samsung Im not so sure about, there monitor specs tend not to be that acurate. For example they had an S-PVA moniter with 16.7 mill colours and 180 degree viewing angle which is fine but the response time was very quick, now as far as i know you cant get an S-PVA panel with a quicker respons time than a regular TN panel, not for that price anyway. Just didnt add up.
Not sure what to do now, he hs just come back with a very unrealistic price that he wants to pay. Im going to have trouble stretching him to £500! it realy be a budget build. Im tempted to suggest he goes to PC world, you can get quite cheap ones there, just not very good! oh well, I will see what I can do. I love a challenge!
i wouldnt advise going too pcworld if you can build it yourself. Dont they charge like £80 labour? and give you all these cheapy components and say its a performance gaming pc with a celeron and intergrated graphics . The pcworld store here they dont know much, was going to buy a 8800GT or the revised 8800GTS in jan and went in and asked if they had any and he was like What? dont you mean 8400? there is no such thing as 8800.
If you cant build it you could pop down a local computer shop and basicly ask them too put it together and pay them the labour but buy the parts yourself so you have all that awesum warranty.
Yeah well, thats why there computers are alot cheaper. His highest price he wanted to pay was £400!! I might be able to pursuade him to pay abit more but I think I may have to resort to PCWorlds tacticts and use the cheapest compnents I can find. I hope it dosent resort to that though, Im sure we will find a solution.
the main question is what will it be used for? since hes going uni it wont be so much for gaming? if so then you can certainly cut around £50 on the graphics card and abour £20 on the cpu, hard drive you could get a 200gb for £28(today only) a samsung drive so that would give you a total of something like £300+~£100 for monitor, amd 3650 is said too be really good for a budget multimedia user(and 3670).
