    Question Q3 Intel Price drops = Expected Retail Prices ?

    With the next round of Intel price drops due does anybody know the Expected Retail price of the E8400 as you can already get it for £115 delivered.

    I seriously doubt any etailer would tell the public that.

    I also doubt the wolfdales would drop by much (if anything) anyway.

    Just google for rumoured cuts

    According to rumours
    E8400 cuts by $20 only.
    E8500 gets a cut from $266 to $183
    E8600 introduced @ $266

    More E7000 chips released

    Q9650 will be $530
    Q9550 will be $316.
    Q9400 at $266
    Q6600 will be cut from $224 -> $203

    Chips phased out
    Q9450
    Q9300
    Q6700
    E8300

    I've been offered a two week old E8400 for £80 and i'm in two minds if to buy it and sell my E6600 or wait to see what price scan will charge for the new Budget Q8000 45nm Quad thats due out.

    Pricing is real time. If there's any price changes in purchase price, it will reflect in the retail price when it happens.
