Hello,
I had delivery of my computer components from Scan on Thursday and assembled my PC on Friday. All went well and my audio was working fine. I have analog 5.1 surround, and sound was coming out of all speakers.
However, on loading up today I found that the sound wasn't working, so I rebooted my PC to find that the BIOS gave me a "critical failure - chassis intrusion" notice. The chassis wasn't open, so I restarted again and Windows booted fine.
However, now the analog output of the built-in audio does not work. Both the centre speaker and the subwoofer are connected to the same port, and there is audio coming out of the centre speaker but no audio coming out of the subwoofer - it looks line the subwoofer channel has failed.
I have tried doing a windows system restore, and uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers but nothing has worked.
I am concerned that there has been a failure somewhere that caused the chassis intrusion error message and has also damaged the onboard soundcard.
How do I go about doing an RMA?
