Stuff arrived, I guess it's a good thing...

So, I went to order a few bits and pieces on Monday for myself/family/friends. I got as far as the checkout before realising that my card address hadn't been updated since I moved house. I promptly updated it to my new address and did the order again. After confirming I realised the card address hadn't updated on the order. Dang I thought, it'll not work and I'll have to redo the order when it fails to authorise payment. Delivery was to my work address so I knew the goods wouldn't turn up at someone else's door.

Email 1 arrived, then email 2 arrived saying payment authorised!

Not only this but I then realised the new payment address I had entered was still wrong for the card I used! Even if the system had updated it should have failed...

Overall I'm happy the goods arrived yesterday, but slightly concerned that payments were authorised with incorrect details. The order value was a little over £50, maybe in the grand scheme of things this doesn't register on the system as needing to be checked (like signatures on cheques?).

Sorry for the long post. Have I answered my own question? Was there even a question in here?

Thumbs up on the speedy service though

Please confirm your real name, Post code and the correct billing address so we can confirm the account changes have been applied. Also please ensure the bank is aware and have also applied the changes so future transactions also run smoothly.

    Best Regards

    Thanks Chris,

I've now updated my credit card to my new home address so that solves half the issue.

When I log into scan I get my new address in Personal Details, but the old one in the order invoice address.

I guess I should PM you the details rather than posting them all over the web

    Cheers for looking into it.
