    Samsung hard disks

Any chance of stocking these (especially the P80 series)? I'm a big fan, but stockists are limited (and I don't buy from OcUK)

I'm a big fan too, as they're VERY quiet, and have a 3yr warranty - so if I was to buy any hard drive it would only be samsung.

Can I ask why not? I think there really good - unless you mistook the link for overclockers.co.uk (ie OCUK) then yeah, I'd keep away from them, but overclock are really good.

Whats wrong with OCUK? I spent £1,400 there over christmas and it all arrived within 2 days. No problems at all, www.overclock.co.uk are good too, but there delivery time is a little slow for me. I always assumed Samsung HDD's would be cheap crap. Just because they're cheaper than Seagate and Maxtor. And it's not normally a name i would associate with pc's

& quieter & just as fast & 3 year warranty

So, you wouldn't use Samsung memory (highly rated by folks), a Samsung monitor, Samsung laptop, Samsung optical drive let alone printer, digicam etc.

    P.S. OCUK RMA sucks

Perhaps my next HDD will be a Samsung then

Do they do a 200GB sata?

Is that the only problem with OCUK? I havent had to RMA anything yet thankfully

the samsung p80 series comes in 80, 120 and 160gb form, on ata or sata interfaces. iirc they can't increase the size without adding more platters or increasing platter density, and they aren't confident they can build a reliable drive to those specs yet
