    *edit*

No, the only way to be 100% sure without opening the box is the ,1A on the far left through the top hole of the box: http://www.anandtech.com/gadgets/sho...spx?i=3472&p=2

ah i'll have to show her this site, thing is though its a touchy subject now as she went mental on the phone last night as she had wrapped it all up and was really excited thinking she had got a jasper for me, i feel pretty bad about it all tbh now though

    *edit*
jus had a chat with her and its a falcon, she got really upset but the lady in game assured her that they only had jaspers in now (i can now assume she doesnt know what a jasper is) so its going back to the shop she was told she was being sold some something specific and she hasnt recieved it so i feel thats a good enough reason for return.

Well I ended up getting another at weekend, lot 843X but its a falcon. My plan is to return it after 6-8 months "faulty" and hopefully get it replaced with a jasper.

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade 'Jasper' with built in 256MB memory

personally im just going to leave it until the new years, unless something good comes up (someone selling confirmed jaspers) a friend of mine is a manager in gamestation he showed me their newest arcade, (it came in two days ago) and that was also a falcon, he told me that he had heard that their supplier had a backlog of xboxes to get though first before the newer ones would become available for the store to order so i would think its a pretty safe bet to assume its a similar situation elsewhere,
saying that though the consoles that we all can get hold of arent far off being jaspers are they so it wont be too long

*edit* stew's gonna slate me for my grammar in this post lol

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade 'Jasper' with built in 256MB memory

What one needs is the specific SKU from Microsoft, and for Jasper Arcade models (plug your own hard drive on) it is XGX-00023.

Don't know what the new SKU for Jasper "pro" models is yet, or Elites, but apparently that is the SKU for Jasper Arcade in the UK. Maybe Scan could get some of these in? Bound to fly off the shelves! I've read that some guy pre-ordered on from a John Lewis store with their stock-code 82610123, their old Falcon Arcade stock-code is 82610120.

If Scan can get Jasper Arcade in before Xmas, I'll certainly order one immediately.

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade 'Jasper' with built in 256MB memory

The code is definitely XGX-00023 on my box for arcade jasper as I got one yesterday from blockbuster. I know two others on the net that got there's from blockbuster yesterday too. Best thing to do is phone or call around your local blockbusters and ask if they have any stock listed on there computer as Arcade Xbox 360 (Second release). If they do it is a case of them finding them out. As well as the above code it will NOT have 'memory unit' written on the box directly below where it say 256MB MO. It only says 'Memory'. Check top and sides of the box, it will also scan on the till as Arcade Xbox 360 (Second release). Good luck

Re: Xbox 360 Arcade 'Jasper' with built in 256MB memory

Can confirm Blockbuster have got XGX-00023 in, that they are referring to them as Xbox 360 Arcade Console (2nd Release), and they are Jaspers; apparently John Lewis is similar (as above) with XGX-00023 but I haven't seen any reports of stock yet.

Scan if you want to sell a few Jasper Arcades, some last minute stock will fly off your shelves!

We don't know yet if UK will get a new SKU for Pro and Elite models, but I think Scan should find out.
