Another Samsung 640gb for Raid 0

    Hello!
I'm looking to RAID 0 my current Samsung 640gb sata drive (f1 spinpoint or whatever they're called) with another, but you seemed to have stopped selling them! Most other sites have too, so i'm guessing they've stopped producing them or something of the like.

I've been lead to believe that I can use another similar drive, so i'm thinking of buying this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/640-G...MB-Cache-89-ms which is the same size/amount of cache. Do you know if it's 2 platter like my Samsung Spinpoint and if it will Raid 0 with it?

    Thanks,

    Torched_Geek.

Those 640gb samsungs stopped a while back.
AFAIK you can RAID dissimilar disks based on the lesser disks specification but I assume like with most things there may be cases of incompatibility

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels
"A RAID 0 can be created with disks of differing sizes, but the storage space added to the array by each disk is limited to the size of the smallest disk"
