Just a quick compatability check

Hi I was wondering if the Gigabyte MA770-UD3 8 pin 12v cpu version would run on a 4 pin 12v cpu conection ok? (750W psu) and would the motherboard run a AMD Phenom II X4 955 BlackEdition which I am looking to purchase. Want to go with a Am+2 board to avoid having to get DDR3 memory.

Thanks Bitemarks I was trying to see if I can get a responce from Scan as both items are on this weekends Today only and witht the case I want to order I did not want to end up wasting £240.
