My PSU has become faulty... course of action?

Hi, purchased an Xclio PSU from you guys on the 28/01/2008, been a solid PSU since but today (as of 1 hour ago) i smelt a really bad smell something like plastic burning or something and eventually i decided to check to make sure if it was one of my WC tubes melting on the gpu or something, looked around saw nothing then checked the psu and the fan has stopped working, i assume the burning smell is toxic fumes from the PSU burning? I have turned off the PSU now but as the fan is faulty and its producing this strong smell im wondering what im meant to do?

I believe the Xclio psu was advertised with 3 year warranty at the time i bought it so im not sure if that was through you or Xclio because it even said in the xclio manual it was 3 years. The model is 700W Xclio x14 great power(i believe thats the name). I see you stopped stocking most Xclio PSU's so suggestions on what I am meant to do now and what is offered i.e replacement or refund?.

edit: Ive tried Xclio email addresses and they all come back with the email address being full so it cannot send, basically no help there >.<. I see that ebuyer has a bequiet PSU for £60 which would be the only real alternative as i need modular and the Xclio psu's are actually rock solid and not cheapy blow up units, Im hoping you can either provide me with a direct replacement or a refund.

We have advertised Xclio as 12 months RTB with Scan if there is a 3 Year Manufacturers warranty it will be direct with them and a replacement would be offered.

Fair enough, just an FYI you have some Xclio's with 24month warranty atm.


I found the warranty card and i am mistaken , its 2 years.... FML now i need to find a new PSU and the cash for it xD.

Just coped this from an XClio manual off their site:

"All new XClio PSU products are warranted for two(2) years from the date of purchase..."

So looks to be out of warranty

EDIT: Looks like you found that out too while I was reading pdf, lol.
