Question AOpen Aeolus GeForce 6800 Ultra

256MB AOpen Aeolus GeForce 6800 Ultra (D-Sub, Dual DVI, TV-Out)

Do you know when these are coming into stock and how many orders are there at the moment?

If I order now, when would I expect to have one of these cards?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

We currently have 5 on back order with Aopen and these cards all being well should be with us tomorrow (depending on supplier)

We currently do have some of these cards available from this order therefore providing the order is received soo, it is in the 1st 5 orders and that the cards are with us tomorrow its quiet possible we could ship the card to you for Monday next week.

    Regards,

    GT or Ultra?

My advice would be go for the GT version unless your running your res higher that 1280x1024 then you probably wont notice any difference, and also the GT version only takes 1 power connector and not two so there is less demand on the PSU.

I run at 1600x1200 (TFT native resolution) and want the absolute best for Doom 3. Common sense says get the GT, but it's difficult to be sensible at the moment ;-P

Well if sensibility has gone out the window, I'd personally wait for a dual PCI-Express motherboard to arrive, get 2 x PCI-Express 6800 ultras and then sit in the dark playing doom 3 with a large box of disposable underwear at your disposal

    Best Regards,

The only thing I have there is the disposable underwear ;/

Decided to get a GT after all. I'll need to save up for all of the big changes later this year.

    $had0w,

All being well we should have the Aopen GT card tomorrow, if you wish to wait for a few days we should have the XFX version in middle of next week, however there are a few back orders for this card at the moment.
