    Are these dots only seen during Halo? If that is the case then it would be an issue with the game rather than the card ( just for your information, if you check the gaming forum and search for halo - I think everyone has said they thought it was a poor conversion from the xbox version and I tend to agree )

    The best thing to do is download the following software and benchmark the system to see if theres any graphical hiccups ;

    http://www.futuremark.com/products/3dmark03/

    I would suggest that you check your directx and install the latest as well as getting the new nvidia drivers from www.nvidia.com

    Hope this information helps,

    Best Regards

    Hmm is the card at stock speeds? White dots usually = core overheating or pushed too far.

    We can tell nothing from that score without knowing what system you have, lol. But I believe the XFX does come factory overclocked. What speed is it running at? If you want help you have to provide more details.

    To beable to look at the clock speeds and the overclock features it says i have to do this "Enabling overclocking:
    This step requires you to edit your registry. To enable overclocking
    open <cd>others\overclock\overclock utility.reg
    Now open Display properties. Choose the setting tab and click
    advanced button. Now choose the GeForce tab and click the additional
    properties button. Select the Clock frequencies tab of the Additional
    GeForce Properties Window. The rest should be self-explanatory."

    but i dont understand how to edit the registry

    Im going to send you the link to a file, download the file from the link and then double-click on it when its downloaded. It will ask you if you want to add entries to the registry. Click Yes. You will then be able to overclock and see your clock speeds.

    And list the rest of your system.

    I think Richdog was refering to Coolbits, a reg hack that will allow you to access and change the mem/core frequencies in the Nvidia properties panel. Do a google for 'Coolbits'.

    BTW, i would have said the orginal problem was more of a PSU/power issue if he had not done any overclocking himself. I had the same with my 9800pro, until i upgraded my PSU. But seeing as he last posted in Sep 2004, i guess he got it sorted!
