Greetings, just posting here as I wanted to publicly state what has happened in the past week. Last Friday, when I went to order a set of Corsair SP2500 speakers, I saw they were out of stock. This was understandable as Scan had not only price matched, but beat the price of everywhere else online, so a +1 there. On the 15th they were supposed to come back in stock but after refreshing the page all day, they hadn't. I had thought that it was understandable, things can go wrong. After countless emails to Scan, I was told that an order for 40 sets of speakers was given to Corsair on Tuesday and that they would without a doubt arrive on Friday. I had sent many emails asking them to confirm this, which they had probably seen as an annoyance, but I wanted the assurance that they would in fact arrive for me to be able to order them. I had told them that I could order the speakers from Amazon for the same price as Scan with Saturday delivery costs incurred, but I did want to order from Scan.
Today at 2:30pm I was told that the delivery had been received and that they were in the process of putting the stock on the site. I have now been told 15 minutes ago that the speakers didn't arrive. How you do not notice a crate of 40 large boxes is beyond me. I can't believe that something as simple as stock control has been so ridiculously handled. I've been a customer of Scan for the past year or so and they had been my first resort for technology, but I am sorry to say after what has happened I cannot bring myself to shop here again.
While you may respond that Corsair is to blame, let me say a shop should act as a go between. I would've probably had a much better chance swimming to the Netherlands where I believe Corsair are located. There is now going to be a large space under the Christmas tree where the speakers should've sat, and there's now nothing at all I can do about it. If anyone runs into similar issues; buy from somewhere who can manage stock, it really is a killer.
