My Tagan PSU just exploded !!!

I came home to find the PC had turned itself off while i was out ( I had left it burning a DVD)

I couldn't get it to turn on so i made sure all the cables etc were still in place with no luck so i tried a different power lead. As soon as i plugged it in and turned the switch back on there was what could only be described as an explosion and a large flash/flame that came from the PSU. I kid you not, if i had by head still near the thing i may have been injured.

So, can i send it back please ? I've still got the box I think. Its around 2 months old.

whenever i hear this exploding i get a picture of peter kay in phoenix nights with his 10 items plugged into an overloaded socket which goes - taking out the electric in the house leaving him stuck on his stair lift!

got anything else plugged to your wall socket?

psu explosion can usually be attributed to really dodgy input voltage.

you DO use a surge protector, right?

Absolutley, and the laptop and all the other stuff such as monitor etc on the same surge protected gang plug are still working.
