    Scan 'Today Only' Free Gifts

It's good to see the odd free gift from the Today Only section of the Scan site but i'd much rather have an extra couple of quid knocked off the price for the goods I really want instead of the free gift.

Anyway, what's the best free gift you've received? And what's the most useless?

    My best: 25-pack CD-R's.

My worst: Euro conversion calculator (I now have three of these!).

point taken 3 euro calculators is a little useless when you already have 2, i will put this to the management team as we do value and listen to the requests put to us by our customers.

    Thanks SteveA.

What about Scan doing a loyalty scheme instead of free gifts? Give us loyalty points and after so many points have accumulated we get £x off our next order. That way Scan would get more repeat business, customers would be more loyal as they would see a tangible benefit.

Here's an example that I would be happy with: for every £100 we spend we could get loyalty points that equated to £5. Then once we had spent £500 we would get a £25 voucher to spend on our next order and our loyalty points would be reset to zero

Scan already do a loyalty/benefit scheme associated with the knowledge base for free delivery, loyalty points is along the same idea perhaps they could offer you free delivery if not cash off.

Well it is a way of rewarding people for their input - you don't have to do it and it doens't punish you for not - more so rewarding for giving...
