    www.cetelem.co.uk - Where is it?

Not really too much of a problem, just an inconvenience that as it has something to do with your company you may like to know about if you don't already.

Basically, not long ago i got a letter from cetelem to let me know that my 9 months interest free finance option was nearing it's end, and if i wanted to take advantage of it, i'd need to pay in full by a certain date. it goes on to say i could pay via cheque (doesn't help me as i don't have cheques) or via their website www.cetelem.co.uk by card. perfect solution for myself. but on trying to go to their website i find out that it can't be found at all, even their international website (www.cetelem.com) directs you to www.cetelem.co.uk to pay, so payment by the internet is just unavailable.

The only other thing it says, is that if you require any further assistance to give them a call on an 0870 number, monday to friday and between 9am and 5:15pm, which isn't greatly convenient for a lot of people who work.

I know cetelem are just the company you use for finance and not really anything to do with yourselves, but i just thought you may like to know if you don't already.

    bye

They are now trying to get payments off me even though I have the full amount to pay off, but can't do it. Not happy. Hopefully you can help me.

    Regards and hopefully many thanks

    Cetelem problems

Be careful with this company. I tried to pay on several occasions via their website (www.cetelem.co.uk) but kept getting a 'FAILED authorization' (funds in place, BTW).

I was on hold for 15 minutes when I telephoned, then provided my debit card details. These were processed at end of March and the full amount (£1500) was taken.

A few days later they took this amount from my bank account again, leaving me without any money to go on holiday! As this happened on a Friday night, I have been unable to get hold of them.

I haven't yet been able to give them a chance to explain and apologise, but first thoughts are that they are a pretty poorly-managed company with lousy customer backup and dire communications.

Scan -- maybe you could look into this and consider using an alternative finance house?
