    3xs Systems

    Hello everyone from Scan

I am looking to buy one of your 3xs Systems, after building my own for years I have finally decided on getting a pre-built pc - The Finance and Warranty options are what swayed the decision

    If I do get a 3xs System, I will get the 3XS High-End Socket 939 System. I have just a few questions

    1) I am after a very quiet PC, which of your choice of cases and coolers from the following would be most suited?

    Cases:
    Akasa Eclipse-62 Midi Tower Case
SilverStone "TEMJIN" J05B (BLACK) Aluminium front & SECC Body (w/o PSU)

    Coolers:
Akasa Evo 33 (AK913) HeatPipe Cooler for AMD Athlon 64 & Athlon FX CPUs
Scythe Samurai AMD/P4/64Bit Solid Copper Heat sink with Super Quiet variable fan Speed
Asus StarIce 4 in 1 CPU cooler (S775,S478,S939/S754)

    2) What is the difference between the AG Neovo "X" and "F" series, except the price - and which is better for gaming (The X looks lovely )

    3) Does the PaxMate sound proofing *really* work?

    4) The nVidia DVD decoder - because I have chose the option to not have an OS pre-installed (I am an MSDN subscriber) will I get this program on disc or via download?

    5) Who is the Warranty provider for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. (ie: Maintenance Direct - etc)

    6) How is the finance sorted out? Over the phone/written?

    7) If you stock it, if I buy some Arctic Silver 5 (or your equivalent) will you be able to apply that during the build?

That's about it I think I am *really* tempted by the 19" AG Neovo screen... <looks at his wallet>

    Cheers,

    Craig

I would pick the Akasa case as this uses 120mm case fans therefore they rotate slower and make less noise - Plus the fact that Everyone on here including David loves the eclipse for its design and style Now couple this case with the akasa Evo 33 or even the 120 range for optimum cooling.

The Difference between the X and F range is the X range has the hardened glass coat and is kiddy proof, whereas the the F is more the value choice.

The "paxmate" does work by making the sound less intense as it interferes with the soundwaves.

The decoder Software will be supplied on CD with the CD-Key and Auth code

Warranty is 1st year on-site and then after that covered by any manufacturers warranty.

Finance is all done via the website and can be done within 30 minutes as all the paperwork is partially done via a secure web connection.

Yes, We can do this - we stock the Akasa Paste which is very popular at the moment.

As for the 19" Neovo's - I have the M-19 black ( through my gaming thing ) and its very nice indeed.

Cheers for the speedy reply Wildmonkey

Reagarding the Neovo's - Which would be better for gaming? The X, F or M 19"? Bearing in mind that I dont have children, and if I do... I dont know about them

Now onto the cooler's... on the 3xs customise web page you dont list the new Akasa 120 cooler, if I ring you guys up could this be an option?

And finally (for now I think!) Is the extended warranty option on-site for 3 years?

Cheers once again.. and your making me jealous with your 19"er (ooer...)

Ontop of my other questions - mainly directed to Wildmonkey, how does the M-19 perform in games? Is there any ghosting?

    Cheers,

None at all. I'm from the died-hard CRT brigade and I've always been dubious about response times on TFT's but there is no visable ghosting in any of the games I tend to play such as CS : Source, HL2, F.E.A.R, Area 51, WoW and GTA:SA and Warhammer 40k.

I know the Akasa 120 HSF is not on the list of HSF's available for the 3xs Systems - But if I emaild/phoned you guys would there be a chance of you being able to fit that instead of the Evo33?

    Looking to order very soon

    Cheers,

As long as the Evo 120 fitted both the relevant case and Motherboard then there shouldn't really be an issue and according to the systems manager the Evo 120 is now enabled on the systems as an after-market cooler option.

    Hope this information helps

    Best Regards,

    Lee
