    Question External 2.5" HDD enclosures

Hi was wondering if you could help me with these simple questions...

Was wondering if the slim usb2 scan 2.5" enclosure "JJ ST-2215B2 2.5" External HDD Enclosure USB2 (Mini) 9.5mm Max" would work with the 2.5" 40 Gb and 60 Gb samsung spinpoints on today only? as these drives are 5400rpm and 8mb cache would they be fine over the USB cable or need extra power etc, and also do these scan 2.5" enclosures come with a protective case?

    Thanks!

Yes the casings would be fine with those drives as the larger USB2.0 encasings can support the faster 7200 rpm drives and even SATA drives now, so they would be fine with the smaller laptop drives

As for the scan 2.5" enclosures, these do not come with an additonal casing I'm afraid.

    Best Regards,
