    XFX 7900GT Acting weird.

    On tomb raider sometimes reflections can be blue and I have patched the game with 1,1 and it has fixed some but not all. On rollercoaster tycoon 3 with the latest patches golden colors (such as sand) are VERY bright and hurt my eyes and I have try changing settings but no change and on Pariah when theres a flash such as a granade the screen goes grey with no effects.

    I have tried the latest beta drivers... What can I do?)

    EDIT: New drivers came out 2 nights ago and fixes a hell load of bugs and has the new nvidia control panel.. I'll try that... Will edit later...
    EDIT 2: No.. still bad

    oops - sorry didn't see the 2 edits ;

    Please log the problem at the technical section here http://web6.scan.co.uk/Support/Query.ASP?QueryType=T with the problem and also which drivers etc you have tried and they should be able to assist you shortly.

    Best Regards,
    Done with this:

    Purchased a XFX 520M 7900GT from Scan. Got it and tried Tomb Raider on it and it was rendering all the "shiny" objects in blue. Got the patch for 1.1, it has fixed most problems on the game but not all.

    Next - I tried Pariah, when ever a granade is thrown or something that blows up the screen just flashed gray and you cannot see a thing - it's unplayable. Also this has been patched to 1.03 (latest)

    Next - Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 - Golden items such as sand are VERY bright and take all over the screen and you cannot see a thing. I have turned down settings and nothing seems to work.

    I have tried the Nvidia BETA drivers 88.94 and the newest (released May 23rd) 91.28 both have no inpact only a new control panel.

    I have started a thread on the hexus forum here: http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=76249

    The techs think it's a driver problem but I have now tried the 3 latest drivers and it's still the same. Tomb raider is ok now it's patched but see what I mean in rollercoaster tycoon 3 - things that "glow" are very bright so a sand area or pool I cannot look at for more then 5 seconds without it hurting my eyes.

    EDIT: Sand and pools:

    I am assuming you have tried lowering the gamma setting in the nVidia control panel as the drivers do tend to set the Gamma rating rather high. That definately looks like a gamma issue, I had the same thing and just dropped the level a little now its perfect on the 7800gs

    The problem is that it's just that one game with that problem and it has no setting for that.

    Ok right pariah is solved!! After googling for about an hour i found the fix!

    This is an issue where Pariah has incorrectly detected what video card you are using. Please try the following steps:

    1) using notepad open the Pariah.ini file in the System folder of the folder where you installed Pariah
    2) search for the line
    HasNVidiaTexM32Tex=0
    3) change it to
    HasNVidiaTexM32Tex=1
    4) try running Pariah again
    5) if the same thing happens reopen Pariah.ini and change that line to
    HasNVidiaTexM32Tex=2
    6) try running Pariah again

    Please let us know if this helps,

    Support
    Groove Games
    www.groovegames.com
    This solved mine:

    3) change it to
    HasNVidiaTexM32Tex=1

    Just a thought, triggered off by this comment and the fact no-one else has raised it (maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree?) - whats the temps like?
