Buying a laptop from Scan..

Looking to pick up a workstation class laptop for my doctorate colleague in uni..

How long is the warranty with a laptop from Scan? Does Scan provide the technical support, RMA as such?

Oh yea, we do have a corporate account with Scan so ordering shouldnt be an issue.

Also, is the catalogue in the website all of the laptops available?

I need something with say a Core Duo 2.1Ghz
2 gigs of memory
100Gb of HDD
and the usual pheripherals...

Anything you guys could recommend? I took a browse but couldnt find any lappy that does 2GB of mem in Scan's list..

Most the laptops we have at the moment are supplied with 1 Gb of memory, but none of the core duo based ones we have have an operating frequency of 2.1 Ghz

As for the warranty - both Asus and Sony are direct with the manufacturer and the Asus one's have a 2 year warranty.

In theory you could get 1 of the laptop's with 1 Gb memory and change it for 2 Gb.
