    Epson compatible carts

Hi, I bought some Printworks Epson compatible cartridges from you a while back - but gave up trying to get them working, ended up buying the full priced ones which costed me about 70quid. The time has come again to replace them and I spotted on your todayonly page that you were stocking them again - although not PrintWorks branded. Perhaps you have a guide on how to get the compatible cartridges working? The printer is an Epson R300 - when I put the light magenta cart in (printworks) it simply refuses to go any further - saying not a genuine epson cart etc. Any tips appreciated, would hate to spend another 70quid on this printer.

I personally use the compatible cartridges and the same Epson R300 printer, there isnt really a guide to get them working as such as you use them in the same way as the genuine cartridges.

Out of the hundreds I have probably used I have had 1 or 2 where the printer refuses to accept the cartridge - I just put this down to a faulty chip on the cartridge, however the rest have been fine?

If you have further issues all I could really advise would be to contact our returns dept and return them as faulty, however I have personally never had any issues worth worrying about with the compatibles.

I also have the same printer and now and then it will come up with a warning saying that the cartridges arent compatible Epson, if you click continue anyway the printer will charge the cartridges and then continue to use them in the normal way.

Yep, clicking continue has sorted any problems that I've had with those compatible cartridges (apart from the one Magenta that clogged up and refused to print anything...no amount of clicking fixed that one )

sorted! Printer's not working yet, but I've figured out which cartridges are duds - 2 lots of light magenta failed to convince the printer that they were genuine epson carts, but the yellow and light cyan carts managed to fool it - thanks for the tip!
