    BIOS update before delivery?

    Hi guys, I've just ordered:

    Gigbyte DS3 motherboard
Arcitc Freezer Pro 7 cpu cooler
    300Gb Samsung SATAII hard driver

I've been doing my research and have heard the DS3 can be a bit "picky". I'm going to be using GSkill 2GBNR Ram (1.9V) which having found details from a GSkill technician should be fine (see here)

However I'd like to be as safe as possible, would it be possible for you guys to update the motherboard with the latest BIOS (free of charge )...I expect it would boot from the off anyway, but I'd like to make sure I'll be okay as I don't have a replacement CPU to insert if I can't boot.

Don't have an order number yet, but will PM it when I get email confirmation.

Oops forgot to mention I'm getting a Conroe (6600) of course

i think they charge a tenner for doing it...you are better off buying a cheapo stick of ddr2 for about 9 quid and adding it to your order, it will come in handy with that board, trust me

that first one will work fine, thats what i got, no point in spending more because its only so you can boot up to get into the bios to change the vdimm.
