Do you expect to get back in stock the 3500 san diego, 4400 toledo, or 250Gb Maxtor 6L250S0?
I was planning on buying 2 of these and they were all removed from stock within a few days of each other.

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
San diego and toledo are both EOL. So if they dont have them, I wouldn't expect anymore. Just get the higher clocker venic/manchester cores, about the same price and faster.
I'm guessing you wanted the maxtor for NCQ on PATA? Cant think of another drive that does it. Except the bigger version of that drive.
both the san diego and toledo have more cache than their manchester/venice counterparts though

Makes little difference. 3FPS tops. Less in most games. Thats why they were discontinued.Originally Posted by yamangman
Agree with you on that, I too was going to buy the toledo core but then finally bought the Core 2 DuoOriginally Posted by chuckskull

It would help guys if you could specify the LN numbers for the parts as then we can directly check the system, as opposed to loading the website, putting in vague, not-so-vague, or other model numbers to get the stock codes
Anyway, 3500+ is either a Venice or the older Winchester core, so I expect you meant the 3700+ didn't you
Well, the 3700+ (LN10608) has been removed from the website and is now flagged as an end of life product - something which should have been done quite a while ago
4400+ Again, if you meant part LN10970 - Another EOL I'm afraid and as such never coming back.
Lastly, Hard-drive. Again if you meant LN10455 This is end of life, killed and removed from the websystem.
As such I doubt we would be getting any of the above in as they have all now been replaced with newer models/versions.
Best Regards,
yamangman
Any items removed from the web site site would now be EOL.
Suggested replacement could be:-
LN10968 - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 + Socket 939, ToledoCore, 2x 2.4GHz, 2MBCache, Retail
LN10563 - AMD Athlon 64 4000 + Socket939 , San Diego Core, 2.4GHz , 1MB Cache, Retail
LN12595 - 300 Gb Maxtor 6V300F0 DiamondMax 10, SATA300, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 9.0 ms, NCQ
Regards
Tell me how to get your precious 'LN' numbers after you've removed the items and i'll gladly furnish you with more 'LN's' than you can handle
Thanks for clearing that up guys.

They are clearly shown in Orange next to the product image and in the Silver bar on the product information.
This is so we know exactly which product (s) you are referring to,

Even after you've removed said products from stock? Rightyho

This is relevant to any future queries also,
Hope this is now clear enough
Hmm looks like you have the 6L250S0 back in stock (LN10455), why may I ask is it over a tenner more epensive than its newer comparable couterparts? Seems a bit odd for an 'EOL' product.
Sorting by price the oldest, lowest spec'd drive is the most expensive...

This is down to buying price I'm afraid.
If we get more of the newer ones this drives the buying price down, thus meaning we can pass the savings to you the end user.
If we get a few of older drives - these do not get as much discount applied I'm afraid.
I hope this explains the differences.
