    Estimated delivery

    Hi,
I placed an order with scan on saturday and received the order/payment confirmations.
An estimated dispatch date of 2.10.06 for delivery 3.10.06 was given.
It also said that emails would be sent confirming all stages along the way and if the estimated delivery date could not be honoured they would also notify the evening before (this evening) .
Not heard a thing since saturday and the 2 confirmation emails.
Tried contacting via website earlier this evening but no response.
Wondering about the reliability of scan and as this is the first time I've used them debating whether to bother again.
    Appreciate any info.

its normal on a monday for scan to be rushed off there feet with the weekend orders, and not uncommon for the emails to come late at night as they pick up to about 8:30pm, if you havn't the 3rd and 4th emails then its safe to say you will get a delay confirmation email in a bit, if not they will be emails 3&4 tomorrow morning at a guess..

scan are very good, but mondays always slow em up !

Cheers for the info, did think that maybe they don't like mondays.
Didn't realise they worked late into evening.

Just got a "Delayed Order Notification" so will now have to wait and see when they decide to deliver, just my luck.
Off down the pub now, cheers.

You were right on that, drive arrived this morning, cant' say i'm impressed with the way scan pack oem hard drives though, wrapped up in bubble wrap seems a bit odd, anyway the drive was not damaged but unfortunately after installing etc checked with WD diagnostics and it failed the smart test ( a common problem with WD drives).
The returns process is good though and all arranged quickly, well appreciated.

I know they only come in antistatic bags (although the bulk supply arrives in properly packaged cartons) but all other drives i have bought elsewhere have been packed into boxes specifically for the purpose.
Although one supplier (who shall remain nameless) sent a drive in a flimsy jiffy bag and as a result the drive was in bits by the time it had gone through the delivery process.
