cold boot issues with my seasonic

    hi,

i just purchased a gig of bh5 to use with my dfi-slidr (opteron 165, 1gb bh5, 2x320gb hdd, 2 opticals, geforce 7800GT graphics card) and i am getting some weird things happen with the seasonic 600w psu that i brought off you guys in july.

basically, it wont boot up - you push the on button, and nothing happens. so i swapped out the power supply with my old tagan 480w psu and everything works fine. then i managed to find out why this might happen, and i put the seasonic back in and hey presto! it worked.

apparently once the motherboard wont boot up, if i turned off the psu swich, removed and replaced the psu cable, and then turned on the switch, then it would boot up fine - the psu has no other real issues apart from being a little on the loud side ( a recent thing).

i have ruled out it being the memory as it passed 24h of memtest with both psu's at stock (even when i managed to get the seasonic to boot up), and thats the only thing that is different in my system.

so, can i get someone to arrange an rma?! because its a bit crap having to keep doing this, and i love my new memory, which works perfectly fine, so i cant get that rmad as nothing wrong with it.

If you take a look at this thread particularly the links on page two, it may shed some light on the issue .

yes, but i hardly call my system a low-power consumption one, and surely this means that it is not fit for purpose or something?!
