Course I'm not buying that, if I were I'd add the Quad Core silly I was actually checking what it would cost to get the PC I'd like right about now - decided I'm going to wait until January for the 8900 series at which point Vista will be available too.

Done my research and I saw how come things are more expensive down at Scan's end. Usually they match and are the cheapest .

I have bought the XXX 7950GX2 off them and I have to say I got a good price off Scan but this time round things are looking a bit on the dear side.

I bought Gigaworks 7.1 and they were the cheapest
then the Xfi Elitepro and they were the cheapest
then the 7950gx2 xxx , they were the cheapest
3 P5W64-WS mobo's and they were the chepeast
the corsair XMS 6400 4gb of them and they were the cheapest
mycase Xclio airbus a380 and they were the cheapest

So whats happening with the trend?
Your even the best etailer in the country too.

The performance difference betweeen the cards this time round is negligible because they are all at one speed and no overclocking on the cards , which is a brilliant thing , the card doesnt need to go any faster , its the cpu thats the bottleneck. Will give more life to the cards too.

My 7950GX2 XXX is the 570m by XFX and I think XFX went top far with the speed on that card , on some mobo's i used it shows funny specs , then checked the forums on this and its to do with some motherboards having PEG link enabled by default , this overclocks the card a bit too much , well it doesnt help my card.

Anyway I am drifting away , why is Scans pricing on the cards the way it is?

Just ciome back from Scan , bought the XFX 8800GTX , now I have to put it together.

Not really feeling up to the task at the mo , I had to change the 900watt tagan again. Tagan are brilliant power supplies but with this certain model they seem to have a switch problem. Anyway hopefully do a 'so called review' my stlye on the 8800gtx.

Cant wait to see it in action , also met Wesley Aldred in person today , nice chap.

    Listen to this

I bought the XFX 8800GTX because they had no other cards in stock , I thought never mind at least you will get some games with it.

Anyway drove home , opened the box and guess what NO GAMES.

£480 and NO GAMES, still cant believe it , NO GAMES
