    Graphics Card

Is the following product likely to have any issues running in an Acer Aspire T180 system?

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=368284

Am I right in assuming this card doesn't require a separate PCI-E power connector? (Not sure if my machine has one but can't be bothered to check so I'll check if the card needs one )

I'm fairly sure that card will need a PCI-e power connector and as for whether or not your system will support it depends entirely on whether your PSU is meaty enough for the job.

The rear of the card is devoid of a 6-pin power connection found on the higher-end series of cards as it gets all it's power it requires from the PCI-E x16 graphical interface.

As such, you do not require the PCI-E power connection for this card as the recent shrink down to the 90nm process meant a reduction in heat generated, hence the passive cooler and also less power being required.

    Best Regards,

    Best Regards,
Excellent. Saves me having to check my PSU before I order hopefully the lower power consumption means I'm less likely to have power issues too.

I'll get that ordered this lunchtime
