    Graphics Card Quandry

Ok now i have a bit of money to burn i have a few options on the graphics card front.

    I can get the X1800XT from ocuk for £170 + p+p
    or
The X1800XL AIW from scan for £200

Now as the XT and XL are the same except for the clock speeds is it worth going for the XT? Or should i just get the XL and overclock it a bit (after buying some arctic cooling).

I am very tempted by the X1800XL AIW because of the AIW features; especially as it has built in DVB TV (not just analogue).

Does anyone have any first hand experience of the graphics cards, as some of the reviews don't really go into as much depth or they don't cover what i want to read about

Otherwise is there a decent enough graphics card (similar to 7800gt) which can be had for pretty cheap to play on a nice widescreen 19/20" monitor as that is going to be my next purchase in a few weeks...

I know you get a lot of these 'which graphics card should i get ' threads but i am seriously split between the choices. The XT sounds like a steal, altho the XL is tempting because of the features.

I mainly play Counterstike Source and Battlefield 2 if that is of any interest.

    Thanks in Anticipation

if i was you i would go for nvidia in my experiance they seem to work better and have less trouble with awful drivers

the 7800gt is perfect for what u want it for it will happly run 1680by1050 (native res of the dell widescreen 21" tft) at full settings and still get 60-70 fps
    rig depenent though

the rig is as per my sig / my system thing to the left; however with a x800xl gfx card

was looking at the w1900 screen as well (has tv hd inputs etc) and the resolution is only 1280*768 (19inch widescreen) so i might be able to get away with keeping the x800xl with that then?

or i may just treat ma self to a 7800gt (second hand)
