Xfx 8800gts 640mb

Just over a week ago I ordered a bunch of kit, including the XFX 8800GTS 640MB which was on Today Only at the time. The product was in stock when I ordered, and i've paid for the order in full.

A few days later I noticed that my order still hadn't been picked/sent, so i called up customer services to ask why. Turns out the card is out of stock, and you gave me the option of waiting, cancelling the card, or choosing another card (and paying the difference). Seeing as the card was a good price, I decided to stick it out.

My question is, when do you expect to get more stock of this card?

The latest we have is that we should have got stock at the end of last month.

I shall request our purchasing team chase the PO up with XFX and as soon as I get a response I shall let you know.

Does that go for all XFX cards that are out of stock to or just the 8800 cards

Hi,

The latest information we have is that we should be recieving enough cards to cover our back orders either today or Monday, after this we shall be getting more from XFX in the next 10 days subject to stock being available.

If you have already placed the order then you should get the graphics card by Tues/Wed next week, as soon as the stock does land we shall email you to advise via the automated email service.

Hi, just wondering if you've any updates? I haven't received an automated email, and i've been waiting now since 30th January :/

My heart sank when I noticed that a further 3 items from my order have gone out of stock, plus the fact that the graphics card i wanted has disappeared completely from the website (depsite being told that I'd be informed of stock information relating to this card).

In the end, I've decided to cancel my entire order, partially because you cannot provide what I want (without me having to spend over and above what you have already taken from my account), but also because of the lack of communication regarding my order. The gentleman on the phone told me that you only found out about the card no longer being supplied a day or two ago. Seeing as I asked to be informed about this, and had been waiting 3 weeks for this card, I would have figured a day or two would have been enough to email or call me. If i hadn't been checking your website daily then I would not have noticed and been left waiting.

I've used Scan a lot in the past, and never had any problems, it's just a shame that my biggest purchase from you has had so many problems. It seems I'll just have to wait until you have every item in stock (this time verified over the phone) before I place another order with you. Until that time, i'd like my money to be in my account.

We can only apologies for the issues you have experienced.

Regarding the order only the Graphics card was out of stock, you may notice items as ordered now showing as “Out Of Stock", however this is not relevant to your order as the remaining products had already been allocated to your order awaiting for stock of the Graphics card.

Unfortunately especially with Graphics cards they do becomes End Of Life very quickly we were only made aware of this yesterday @ 16.56.43 from the manufacturer when the item was made End Of Life and removed from the web site accordingly.

With any out of stock product we immediately place orders with the various suppliers we use and update the web site accordingly as soon as an ETA is confirmed from the manufacturer.

I have heard a rumour Graphics cards would be on offer shortly ( however I am unsure which particular cards ).
