I'm trying to work out how what their 'period' is for the sale. They don't state whether it is monthly or yearly...

if you go tho this page on their site it is an Annual fee! its right at the bottom http://www.maniahost.net/compare.htm
i signed up for silver package and it was 49.99 for the entire year

told you it was a cracking deal! You planning to sign up then?
certainly not, I fork out to get one of my own machines hosted in a colocation centre. If all I wanted was a reasonabley priced webhost it would definatley be considered though

Cheap? Or do you go for quality? Every time I look at moving from dedicated server rental in the US to colo in the UK I go pale at the price.Originally Posted by atrull
I went for poundhost. They are very cheap indeed but can be worth it because they accept towers.
The cool thing about towers.. cheap to buy, replace, fix and source parts for. And you can put a stackload of disks in a tower. win win win IMO.
I've put a super-sized (much larger than normal full-height) tower in, and it is 300gb/transfer per month for 46 quid including VAT monthly..

I'll bear them in mind if I ever need a faster server then, currently I pay between £15 and £20 (depending on the exchange rate) a month with 200gb transfer and the box isn't overloaded yetOriginally Posted by atrull
cool -who are you with ?

ServerPronto. They're cheap and I've had no significant downtime in a year and a half (none in the last year) so it's fine for me.
229 is obviously a referal code.
