System Safety Monitor is a security utility that provides control over what programs are allowed to run in Windows and what they can do (modify or terminate other processes, install Windows drivers or hooks, make registry changes or access the Internet).

For today only (14 more hours at time of posting) the full version can be obtained for free from GiveAwayOfTheDay. This includes an activation program that must be run within the time limit (though the code it generates can apparently be stored and used for a later installation). GiveAway's terms and conditions specify no free technical support, no free upgrades and no commercial usage - but in this case SysSafety will allow upgrades for the next couple of weeks (see their thread below).

SSM is a powerful utility providing both security and system control, but is best suited for experienced Windows users.

See the discussion threads at Wilders and the SysSafety forum for more details.
