    Review :: Jumper

    Sci-Fi action thriller, Jumper, had the ingredients upon which an entertaining saga could have been built. Instead, it delivers one of the worst movies of the year so far.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    I am a Si-Fi film fan but I agreed that there are some 'bad' si-fi movies.

    However, you got to understand that the theme is si-fi and not about a real life documenatary.
    Trying to apply a sense of reasoning and logic is just not meaningful.

    Otherwise, the whole idea of having an ability to teleport yourself to different physical places will stop you to see the film in the first place.

    My 2 cents.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    Couldn't agree more.

    Hayden Christensen makes Keanu Reeves look enigmatic, such is his one-dimensional approach to acting.

    An exercise in how to absolutely destroy an interesting premise. The stunning special effects aren't enough to gloss over the egregiously wooden acting allied to a poor script.

    I hope it bombs at the box office, ensuring that we're not subjected to sequels.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    I enjoyed it to an extent. Even though the way the film played out had many moments of question i enjoyed the overall plot and basis; The idea of jumping caught my eye and carried my excitement through the film.

    The film's bad points far outweigh the good ones and thus i would not pay to see this film. I would like to see a sequel and i doubt profits will crash.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    Have to say, the premise of the film was what I was interested in, but I've heard fairly bad reviews from friends across the board. I've now totally lost interest in going to see it.

    I remember a time when Samuel L Jackson used to appear in decent movies.

    We'll be taking a look at the game in mid-March, should be interesting.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    imo it was ok, just ok. I was expecting alot more action, when it started it was near like 3/4 way threw which the trailers make you think its alot of action xD. Was pretty basic and could of been alot better, as usual more hype then its worth.

    Id still recommend watching it if you have the urge to, probably just me and my dad as we thought it lacked too.

    well instead of making me want to watch, the only thing the trailers does to me was to put me off from watching

    I've updated the review and have now scored it out of five using the new HEXUS.rating system. All movie reviews will now be scored in the same manner.

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    Just seeing the trailer was enough to put me off watching this one, at least at the cinema....looked like trash, and reviews and friends opinions have backed me up....have absolutely no regard for Hayden, and not much more for Samual Jackson (there's very few films past Pulp Fiction in which he's little more than a one dimensional character IMO).....The trailer reminded me of something along the lines of Spy Kids or Stormbreaker, stuff for kids....

    Re: Review :: Jumper

    Yep I agree with the reviews here, I hope that no sequels are made...

    There were too many quesions left unanswered (and it appears that the character could be based on Nightcrawler...)

    How did he teleport a "NON" moving building for example, when the 2nd jumper said he could only move anything " that moves..."
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
