The only question remains is when if at all, will Nintendo release a patch/update which disables the use of this? Just like they did with the Wii-free chip (I think it was called.)
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
Well as a boot loader and not an actual hard mod or flash it should be ok, either way it's about time, the DS is region free and I know people that have bought us and uk versions of games due to region limitations on the online play
dont think the ps2 one was disabled later on with later revisions...but it wasnt updated that often due to less online usage
I ordered one of these the other day, GameSeek says it's out within a week. In my opinion, regional restrictions are flipping annoying and useless! I love the DS for being region-free, and was flabbergasted to see the Wii would be region-locked. Why not region-lock... wristwatches? And... ham? Absolute ******* ***** for region-locking any ******* thing, these ***** in suits have no ******* clue about ****** ***** **** and ****! And some people in this forum were wanting region-locked feature-lite Blu-Ray to win the HD disc war! Region-free shouldn't be a bonus, it should be standard!
Ummm... meandering back towards the topic, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (US version) for a tenner here: yay! (Well, it comes to about £13 delivered)
Also, using the Freeloader means we can play the bloody version of No More Heroes! (Also at Renchi for £25)
I got my Harvey Birdman yesterday, I got my Freeloader today, and they work! Hooray!
