My copy has just arrived about 2 mins ago (love game pre-orders lol), so will give it a try for real in a few mins

Perfect timing as i've just posted off my GH3 disc to activision to get it replaced with a stereo sound disc, so its given me a new game to play

Re: Mario Kart Wii: A taste of what's to come

Well I have just done the first cup - its lots of fun! The wheel takes a few laps to get used to, but its a quick learning curve and is MUCH more fun than using control sticks.

Feels the right size/weight for me, and pretty accurate. Lots left to learn still (like the new tracks/items) but really enjoyed that cup, going to be a struggle to not play with this all day..sadly I have to do some work

Steve - yes we do, here's mine

Re: Mario Kart Wii: A taste of what's to come

Damn, I'm not looking forward to reading the HEXUS review. If this is as fun as I believe it will be, I may have to shell out some £200 to pick up a Wii and the game, eeep.

One thing I have to know, and fans should be able to tell, is this; how does the fun factor of Mario Kart Wii compare to the fun factor of Super Mario Kart on SNES?

Also, is Battle Mode available? If so, is Battle Mode 4 track available? The one with the colour coded zones. God, I was master of that!

I just watched half an hour of that video and it actually looks like it'd pee me right off after a while. For a start blue shells are awful!
