So what happened to GDDR 4?
AMD has done a great job with the new HD 4000 series cards. Much faster than the previous HD 3000 series. One single HD 4850 is faster or equal to the high end HD 3870 X2 card. So I can only imagine how super fast the HD 4870 X2 will perform.
AMD FX-8350 @ 4.70GHz w/8-Cores - Bus 277 / 1.4v - Asus Crosshair V Formula ROG - G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16GB DDR3-2210 (8GBx2) - SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC (UEFI)
Not sure about the rest of the forum readers but I had a bad experience with Gigabyte M/Boards - on two occassions they arrived DOA.
Not much to do with graphics cards though is it?
