why does everything nowdays have to have "i" before it!!!!!

and why do all prebuilt gaming PC's have to look like they have fallen off the back of a wagon and run over by a tank!!!

Let's hope it's more reliable than my wife's previous 2 iPower machines.

Thus far, we've had 2 CPU's, 5 graphics cards, 2 motherboards, 1 PSU, 3 HDD (yes, that's right, once they replaced ONE of the two drives out of a RAID array leading to a long repair job....) across two machines.

What's strange is the parts aren't particularly cheap parts, they're almost all branded parts but I suspect it's the case that lets them down.

Personally i wouldn't trust Packard bell with a gaming machine!
For that kind of price a custom built pc could be made easily and in most probability perform better!!
Though who knows this pc might be wicked (having doubts!!!)

The i in packard bells computers goes back 7 - 8 years now when they first release the iconnect and imedia machines. I was there at the Packard bell conference for DSG when they announced it.

Anyone who buys a packard bell has not a clue about computers, because if they did they would either read nothing but poor feedback about them or realise the specs of their machines are totally whack.

Anyhow its rumoured that DSG will stop selling them by christmas and replace with Dell..

Packard Bell don't like spending money on the chassis of a case. They keep cooling to a minimum. Two reasons. 1. Save on cost of construction. 2. Knowing it will die sooner and you'll have to have it repaired or replaced and fork out more money, which they get some of.

PS Packard Bell fund over 50% of DSG's tech labs and IT service repair men and share money made here too.
