Following on from a couple of other news websites that have posted the video of the banned advert, I personally feel there is nothing wrong with the advert if shown after the watershed. It is no worse than a horror/slasher trailer for a film shown after the watershed. I believe the ASA are over reacting to the small number of people who find it offensive. We could club together here and get, say, all iPhone adverts banned because of <insert reason here> and as long as there is a minimum of nine of us, we will succeed.
The ASA should review in context of what is being advertised; in this case a horror/slasher game.
What should have Sega done then to comply with the needs of those nine people who complained? Have an advert with pretty flowers, green grass and teletubbies running around happily and then say "Buy Condemned 2: it's the nutz?" The most I can imagine that Sega could have done was put a warning at the start of the advert of "Viewer Discretion is Advised" or something similar.
am i missing something, i completed condemned 2 months ago. is it going to be coming out on another platform?
I assume it is to build more awareness for a port to PC.

!8, thats l33tCondemned 2 has received an "!8" rating from the BBFC
ASA buckling under pressure from the hysterical masses, i hope the people that complained get mauled by some sort of zombie Doberman, that would show em.

9 people complaining is a ridiculous reason to ban an advert. Obviously it drew ASA awareness and they made the decision - a real bad one at that.

And how many people watch television?
The thing is, I don't watch TV, yet after seeing a news like this, I am more likely to look it up to see what the fuss was about.
why is it such a nanny state?
i think it would be far more interesting to have no advertising rules... you'd never know what was coming next
/imagines TAKTAK watching an advertisement with no rules.
I guess we're expected to do quite wellOriginally Posted by Fortune117
I've been in nappies since watching this on youtube, s**t my pants. Of the 9 complaints received, 5 were from me. I'll never be the same again.
