Am I that out of touch with the market prices that £183 squid for 6gig seems absolutely crazy for DDR3 ? :S
If I was a little bit more impulsive I'd be ordering now.

It does seem a little on the cheap side.. maybe this'll widen adoption of Core i7 and so bring prices a bit more mainstream!
I live in hope.
Scan have Corsair's 4GB 1333mhz kit for about £120. Add £60 for the third module and it looks like they're roughly in line with current pricing.
You'd be a mug to buy now, pricing should drop pretty sharply once more companies jump on the Nehalem bandwagon and manufacturing ramps up for the early adopters.
or skip i7 and wait for the 32nm processors later next year/early 2010 (core 3?)
i wasn't really thinking about price, i just think the westmere cpus will be a better choice for the money.
I think Core 25 will be better value for money. 25 cores ftw!
actually, the gtx would most likely be the same price if ati didnt pull a quick one. Nvidia halfed the costs and that just shows they were milking it at first which is quite right since early adaptors should pay a premium. The I7 will be expensive since it isnt competeing with anythung apart from itself, nvidia sat on same tech waiting for ati and intel are doing it differently which means they will stay top for awhile unless amd pull another .
So.. it looks like memory bandwidth is the new Ghz.
Front Side Bus, anyone? Oh, that is sooooo 2007!
