Out of curiosity, what's the serial number of the board? I'm on my second X58i and still haven't gotten as far as POST...
A Budget XFX X58 Motherboard @ £210 is just a no brainer when I paid £220 for a brand new sealed Gigabyte EX58-UD5 2 weeks ago from Eclipse Computers which has far more upgrade potential, features, accessories and a better overclocking board! You can also get the Gigabyte EX58-DS4 for £215 and both of those Gigabyte boards were cheaper earlier on in the year. All round then it would seem the XFX board needs to be around £175 to even seem close to good value for money and earn the right as a good 'budget X58 board'.
The X58 boards are just too expensive at the moment, I'm just looking out for those budget X58s

you have the following
25% chance DOA
25% chance in never making it to windows
25% chance in a free BSOD every time you try to start a game
25% chance of having to return it under warranty within the 1st 3 months, and as a bonus XFX will keep it for so long you wont have a warranty by the time it gets back
and you can bet it will overheat and melt something during the brief time it was booted
Do you guys not know that you can pick up an MSI X58 Pro for £160.99inc over at Novatech? Who in their right mind would go for the XFX?
baggieboy nah not badgered off at the price I paid I am very happy with what I paid as I paid over the counter in person at my local computer shop £220 for something which was in stock which is what I prefer to do with motherboards as I've had DoA ones before from Dabs and other online retailers and their RMA isn't as easy as me driving to my local shop; and them testing the board then and there in front of my own eyes. Also I have been watching Dabs and the EX58-UD5 is £220 over there currently and has been for some time.
When choosing what Core i7 board to go for I originally wanted Abit, but as they left the motherboard market last year I weighed up all the current LGA1366 boards and chose the EX58-UD5 as it gave me all the features I was looking without any of the 'frilly bits' I didn't. Therefore I looked at and rejected Gigabyte's EX58 Extreme, Asus P6T Deluxe or Rampage II, Foxconn & MSI Eclipse boards and others so to say I'm not happy at this XFX 'cheaper' release is wrong. I could have bought a MSI X58 PRO for £160...now there is a REAL budget 1366 board if I wanted a budget all the way!
I am just not happy when company's say something is a budget release when clearly they haven't bothered to look at what is already out there on the market and the features/pricing structure. Clearly XFX shouldn't consider this a budget board when their pricing is so close to Gigabyte's and other top manufacturers boards which are clearly better products. It would make no sense to buy this product and then find a day later for a few pints more you could have a far superior board in every way.

I looked at getting this board for my i7 rig but for the price that was being asked and the features it wasn't worth it. Ended up getting a P6T in the end for about £180 from mesh computers after a bit of a mix up and its fantastic, can't recommend it enough.

This XFX Mobo is not bad , unfortunately for me the green color inside my case dont fit due to lack of color coordination , therefore I preffer Mobos with red blue white and black colors like the Foxconn Quantum range Mobos ,not green please
