Still have a soft spot for "Sun" (having been working on Solaris for the best part of the last 10 years) so happy to see that they have found a "suitor" now.
Have to say though that their hardware although reliable, even on non sparc systems always seems to come at a premium.
Be interesting to see how they start to market themselves now.
I'm supporting a big bunch of Sun kit at the moment, running Solaris 10. It's a LOT better than it used to be. Hopefully ZFS will be relicensed into the Open Source community.
