Windows 7 Beta never hibernated properly for me, but once i get RC up and running I'll certainly give this a shot. Seems like a useful tool, but i couldnt find the equivalent parameter to -energy on the vista version
The computer goes to sleep fine for me.. just sometimes it never wakes up..
The first time my PC went to Sleep state was not intenional as i had left the PC on for a good while doing nothing came back to it and found it "off". Was pleasently suprised to see it wake up and carry ok after fearing that it wouldn't.
The second time however was quite worrying as i again left he my PC on and went out to do some shopping, I came back to find it power cycling every couple of seconds and this time it would not wake up. I dont know for how long it had been doing that but that isn't the best thing for your hardware to be doing (especially as i have a certain large HDD that is in the category that is prone to random failure usually brought on by power cycling!!). Having manged to stop it doing so when i next rebooted the bios had been reset.
I shall run the report and see what it says.
Mine sleeps, wakes up but then I cant use the keyboard to log in
I dont usually do it as i usually switch on my PC play a few games then switch off and sit on my laptop but whenever i have done it its worked fine. I remember one time i put it into sleep mode then switched the power off at the socket (out of compulsive habit) and then i went out... came back and switched it on and it booted straight to desktop, that was odd.
don't sleep the main comp, but netbook works fine

My desktop and HTPC both sleep and awake with no issues at all.....same on Vista too. Both are set to sleep after 15/20 mins.
Same for me, once I had made sure that network wake-up occured only for magic packets.
Also you can disable waking on timed events (task scheduler etc) but that would suck for a HTPC becuase it won't wake to record things AFAIK.
If you see your PC wake, then leave it, if configured right then as soon as it's finished it will sleep again.
Some programs to seem to prevent sleep, iTunes has on occaison for me.
Hybrid sleep also useful, takes a bit longer to do down because it is also saving hibernation data to disk, but then if the power is interupted during sleep it will still be able to come back to where it was.
