We're yet to be won over by 3D technology
Go and watch Avatar in 3D. Ok the 3D might not blow you away but it does look really nice!

3d viewing still comes down to the simple fact that the human brain and eyes can't handle long periods of time viewing 3d images. 3D images over a long period of time and constant viewing causes headaches and after a while can cause serious headaches...

3D films and programmes should carry a health warning. Its a gimmick idea that is not good for us in the long term..

Brewsters0101's comments pretty much sum up my feelings on this e.g. it's a gimmick and is uncomfortable to view. The other downside is that I've never seen any truly convincing 3D on a TV or in a cinema - it always appears to me like a puppet show using cardboard cutouts.

Avatar does look amazing - saw it on the Imax last night and it was stunning, without any of the gimmicky "shoot things towards the viewr to make them jump" nonsense. However, yes, totally agree with the headache inducing comments.
