I was just getting ready to buy a 50-inch Plasma HDTV too! I don't know. I really enjoyed the Avatar IMAX 3D experience but I doubt it would be the same at home. I don't really want to pay an arm and a leg for a 3D HDTV either. 50-inch Plasma HDTV have dropped quite low in price.
