    erm..... and?

This isn't for consumers, it's for the HPC segment. Compare it to a Tesla card: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/4GB-P...DDR3-240-Cores

Notice the lack of graphics output, this isn't for gaming either.

It does look bad ass - black and Blue shroud FTW.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

I never said I wanted it because I thought it would be useful. Terb is the only one who got my point. It looks very very cool even if I would never have a use for it

Re: News - Intel brings Larrabee back to life...kind of. Say hello to MIC

So Intel tried to take on the consumer (gamer) graphics market and failed. So as a stroke of genius they plan to recoup their losses and take on the parrallel processing market... anyone thinking they are basically trying to do everything that nVidia already does?

I don't see them winning the second round either.

Re: News - Intel brings Larrabee back to life...kind of. Say hello to MIC

Larrabee was never going to be an awesome GPU, given the nature of x86. If they manage to cram 32 cores into a PCIe AIB for off-CPU computations, it should prove interesting, and certainly more than generic enough.

As directhex said, we'll see how they do with the drivers first.

Does each core have its own memory then, or do they lock? I have horrible visions of diminishing returns!
