    The proprietary GTX connector provides a 1x PCIe interface, I believe, so it may limit the effectiveness of having high-end cards in an external box.

    Also, I'm pretty sure AMD's technology was Lasso, not Eyefinity.

    It seems as if external graphics solutions are seeing a renaissance this year, because both MSI and Gigabyte have similar offerings.
