I can only assume this is fairly expensive in comparison to more traditional methods?

Ideal fit for anything smaller than a conventional desktop surely, those speeds are a lot faster than 2.5" or especially 1.8" spinny drives! Wonder how much it costs per GB?
$4 kinda area atm I would imagine..

it's a shame there isn't power going through a standard SATA connector. You could have a tiny pen drive type thing connected directly to your motherboard.
