HBO shows are always better. True blood, Sopranos, The Wire, Generation Kill, Band of Brothers etc etc.

Hmm this is getting interesting, Sky will bring out a new channel in 2011 called Sky Atlantic featuring pretty much all of HBO current major series. Now will Sky have the "common sense" to make these HBO series' past seasons available through their recently launched VoD Anytime+ service - or is that too much "common sense"

Re: News - Virgin inks VoD deal with NBC

Meanwhile, rumours are doing the rounds that Virgin will launch its 100Mbs broadband service this week, after the PM, David Cameron let slip about the super-speedy offering in his speech on 'new economic dynamism' at the CBI.
So is that Cameron trying to take credit for the XXL (?) service? If so, then he's a chancing b'stard because they announced that at the beginning of the year.

Not that I'll be in line for it - thanks to the rises in the costs of everything I'm scrimping to afford my current 10Mb/s service. :censored

Like the NBC deal though - when it comes to channel/content availability, then as far as I'm concerned the more the merrier.
(Apologies to any for the rant in the first line - I just despise the current government)

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
